HashTools 2.2.0 Released!

January 14, 2011

I am very happy to announce the release of HashTools 2.2.0! This new version adds some new features, and fixes a large issue. The first new feature is an improved update check. The new update check is enabled by default, but it can be configured from the Tools menu in HashTools. An icon has been added beside each file in the list to represent the hash comparision result. Grey means unchecked, green is OK and red is a fail. If a file fails a hash check, it means the file is most likely corrupted. Loading multiple selected files using the context menu in Windows Explorer now works as expected on slower machines, or machines that are under heavy load (high CPU usage or disk activity). Previously, HashTools would sometimes skip some files if they weren't loaded fast enough. I would encourage everyone to download this new version today to take advantage of these new features and fixes!

LogFusion 1.2.0 Released!

January 13, 2011

I am very happy to announce the release of LogFusion 1.2.0! This new version fixes a number of issues that were found in version 1.1.2. LogFusion will now run correctly with the .NET Framework 2.0 pre-SP1 (unpatched). Version 1.1.2 was unable to run on a pre-SP1 machine, which caused issues for some people. Also, when the configured font can't be loaded, this new version will now draw the log entries correctly. Previously, some log entries would be drawn incorrectly or would be blank. I would encourage all LogFusion users to download this new version today!

DisplayFusion Site License Price Changes

January 1, 2011

In 2009 the DisplayFusion Pro Site License was introduced, and it has been a very popular license choice for companies that rely on DisplayFusion. Since then, the pricing has changed occasionally, but the price has always been based on the number of machines at your site. In an effort to simplify purchasing a site license, all site licenses are now a fixed price of $645 (Canadian Dollars). This will be a significant savings for most companies, and much easier to purchase. You can visit the DisplayFusion Pro Site License page to see more information about this license. There are multiple ways to purchase (credit card, PO, cheque, bank transfer... etc) and now that the price is constant, you don't need to wait for a custom quote. This means you can purchase a Site License and be using it almost immediately.

Why would you want a site license instead of individual licenses? With a site license you are covered for all the machines at your site without needing to buy more licenses. The site license is a lifetime license so you will never need to pay for updates to newer versions of DisplayFusion. There are no extra maintenance or support costs with the site license, the one price is all you'll ever pay. With a site license you have just 1 license key to manage, instead of many different license keys when you purchase individual licenses. This makes it significantly easier to do large deployments to your networked computers.

If you have received a quote for a site license within the last 6 months that is lower than the new $645 price, we will still honour that quote. If you are a non-profit or educational institution, please contact us for an additional discount. If you have any other questions about licensing, or would like more information on the different payment options please don't hesitate to contact us.

Thanks everyone, and have a Happy New Year!

What is LogFusion?

Do you need to monitor log files from a server process, or watch debug output from an application? Do you need a program that can do this quickly, with powerful features that make it easier? I'd like to introduce you to LogFusion! LogFusion is a powerful log monitoring tool that makes parsing your logs easy. Take advantage of LogFusion's Row Highlighting and Text Filtering features to quickly filter your log and only show the relevant lines you are looking for. Use the Custom Columns feature to let LogFusion parse and split your logs into separate columns for easier reading. Just like the popular 'tail' program in Linux/Unix, LogFusion can also auto-scroll and always show you the newest lines in your log files in real-time.

LogFusion 1.1 Released!

December 6, 2010

I am very happy to announce the release of LogFusion 1.1! This new version adds some highly requested features, and also fixes a few small issues. LogFusion 1.1 now has an option to show tooltips for each line. You can also customize the font used, in case you don't like "Courier New". The biggest new addition is the ability to monitor output from OutputDebugString function calls. This is invaluable for any software developers who are debugging an application and want to avoid physical log files. Some of the bug fixes include reduced UI flickering, ampersands not being displayed properly and right-clicking on selected items does not clear the selection anymore. To see a complete list of changes, please visit the LogFusion Change Log.

I encourage everyone to download LogFusion 1.1 today to take advantage of these new features and fixes!
