Forgive me if this is something I've messed up on my end, but it seems that Windows 11 now requires the Microsoft Store version of Notepad to be installed for the "New" > "Text File" option in the context menu to appear.
Installing Notepad Replacer makes text files open with my specified app as expected, but the store version of Notepad is no longer listed as an installed app and I can't make new text files. Re-installing Notepad from the store allows me to create new text files from the context menu, but text files begin opening in Notepad again.

used the reg file Restore_New_Text_Document_context_menu_item.reg and was able to get \NEW\Text Document back
This worked. I had to restart explorer.exe to get the new menu to show up, but it seems to work just fine without requiring the Microsoft Store version of Notepad be installed. Thank you!
Maybe worth adding this registry fix as an option in the Notepad Replacer installer?
