We're very excited to announce that FileSeek 6.8 (Beta 4) is now available for download! This version fixes a bunch of UI issues and adds a couple of new options.
FileSeek 6.8 (Beta 4) Changes
  • Change: Added an "Open With..." context menu option for search results
  • Change: Double-click now performs the "Open Other Application" action
  • Change: Added an option to prevent FileSeek from downloading online-only cloud files when searching (Dropbox, OneDrive, etc...)
  • Fix: Textbox controls are now scaled correctly after minimizing to tray
  • Fix: Group policy UI fixes
  • Fix: Resolved the "Not a valid Win32 FileTime" error when searching
  • Fix: Resolved a multi-sort regression
  • Fix: If "Always start FileSeek with blank search criteria" is enabled sessions aren't remembered

We're very excited to announce that TrayStatus 4.7 (Beta 3) is now available for download! This version resolves more issues and gets much closer to the final release.
TrayStatus 4.7 (Beta 3) Changes
  • Change: Upgraded to .NET 7 (OS support is now Win 10 1607 and higher)
  • Change: Win 7, Win 8/8.1, and Win 10 versions lower than 1607 are no longer supported
  • Fix: Lock Key State Trigger rules now fire when TrayStatus starts
  • Fix: Mapped network drives no longer get tray icons when Hard Drive Activity indicators are enabled
  • Fix: Added an additional step to the Fix Performance Counters script

We're very excited to introduce the brand new CheckCentral app for Android. The app has been re-written from scratch and includes several improvements over the previous version:
  • Fully supports both light and dark mode.
  • Activity body text is now viewable directly in the app.
  • Tapping on a push notification now takes you straight to the body text of the activity that triggered the notification.
  • The dashboard can be filtered by status by tapping the traffic light icons, just like on the full desktop site.
  • The dashboard can be filtered by text using a built-in search box.
  • Reports can now be viewed and downloaded through the app.
Please note that the new CheckCentral app for iOS is still in progress and we will post another announcement when it has been released.

End of support for Windows 7 and Windows 8
End of support for Windows 7 and Windows 8

Update: We were able to find a workaround to have DisplayFusion work on Windows 7 and 8 for 10.0, and 10.1 will also still work. Please note that it is not supported, so use at your own risk.

Please note that DisplayFusion 9.9 is the last stable release that's supported on Windows 7, Windows 8, and Windows 10 versions 1511 and lower. Windows 10 1607 and higher will continue to be supported.

We had planned to release DisplayFusion 10.0 with Windows 7 and 8 support, but Microsoft now only supports Windows 10 1607 and higher for .NET 7. They initially released it with support for the older Windows versions, but have since changed that, and Windows 7 and 8 also no longer receive monthly security updates as of January 2023.

We'll continue to offer the download for DisplayFusion 9.9 on our site, and DisplayFusion 10.0 Beta versions up to Beta 17 will also work on the older Windows versions.

FileSeek 6.8 (Beta 3) Changes
  • Change: Upgraded to .NET 7 framework (OS support is now Win 10 1607 and higher)
  • Change: Win 7, Win 8/8.1, and Win 10 versions lower than 1607 are no longer supported
  • Fix: Display scaling fixes
  • Fix: No longer crashes when a 0 byte file is passed to a file handler
  • Fix: Improved listview speed on the Settings File Handlers tab
