On Windows 10, this tool was an absolute must-have. On Windows 11, unfortunately, it does more harm than good.
As soon as it is installed and an alternative editor (e.g. Notepad++) is set, all files that were originally associated with the new Windows 11 Editor stop working. Worse still, Notepad Replacer 1.6c simply uninstalls the Windows 11 Editor without asking.

It would be great if this could be fixed. At the very least, there should be a confirmation prompt before uninstallation.

Best regards

We don't have a choice here unfortuantely, the installer displays this warning though:

Warning: In Windows 11 this installer will remove the new Windows Store version of notepad from your computer. If you choose to reinstall the Notepad application you can do that in the Windows Store.
