Would be cool if you could forward a file hash straight to the virustotal search engine from hashtools

Awesome, would be super handy to be able to right click a file and select something like "check hash on VirusTotal"

We've just released HashTools 4.2 and there's now an option in the context menu for searching VirusTotal for the file hash.

very cool! But having it in the windows explorer right click context menu would be even neater as an install option
