I love Hashtools but there is one significant challenge I face using it. I'll have many directories of files that will have an hash, such as a disk of photos with crc32 or md5. However, new photos may be added and often the hash creation process will be forgotten so I'd need the following:
Check a folder - if there is a hash file, I'd need an option to skip if there is one and validates and create new hash files for files that don't have one.
Ideally I'd like to be able to skip reading files if there is a hash file but that might be too complicated, even though it would be very useful. The first method is a must - validate your files, create a new hash file if there isn't one.
This is currently on our feature request list, so I've added your vote to it. We'll be sure to let you know if/when we're able to implement it in the future.
Thanks!

Thanks so much for letting me know. It seems like it wouldn't be too difficult to implement and an incredibly valuable ability to ensure that all your files check and those that don't have hashes will have a new one created. Hope you can get to implementing!
