iTunes Sync Help
How to Configure your MP3 Player
- Right-click the iTunes Sync system tray icon and click “Configure Devices”
- When the Device Configuration window appears click the “Add” button

- Complete the required fields:
- MP3 Player Name: This is just a friendly name that you would like your MP3 player to appear as
- MP3 Player SubFolder: Browse to your MP3 player and select a subfolder that you would like to synchronize to. For example, if you want to store all of your music on your MP3 player in a folder called “My Music” just type in “\My Music\”, or browse to this folder and select it. If you want all of your music to be based off the root of the MP3 player just type in “\”.
- Folder Structure: Choose the folder structure that your MP3 player can best handle. For example, some MP3 players can only read files in the root of the drive. If this is the case select “Root”. If you want to be more organized and your MP3 player can support it you can have your music organized into subfolders just like iTunes (Artist / Album / Song.mp3).
- iTunes Playlist: Select the iTunes playlist you would like to synchronize with your MP3 player. If you would like to synchronize more than 1 playlist, just create a smart playlist that contains all of the other playlists you would like to synchronize. (thanks to “Dust For Eyes” on the forum for this tip)
- Click the “Save” button
- Now your MP3 player is configured and you can close the Device Configuration window
How to Synchronize your MP3 Player with iTunes

- Make sure you read this confirmation, or you could end up deleting files from your MP3 player!
