We're pleased to announce that HashTools 4.0 is now available for download! We encourage everyone to update to this new version today to take advantage of these improvements.

  • Now targeting the .NET Framework 4.6, which will automatically install during setup if needed
  • Improved match/no match icons and row highlighting
  • Added an option for generating .md5, .sha1, etc files for each file checked
  • General performance and stability improvements
  • Much better support for monitor scaling, especially multi-DPI setups
  • Stops checking files in SFV when missing file is detected
  • Added a retry delay in case another process (e.g. antivirus) had the file temporarily locked
