ClipboardFusion 1.5 has been released! After 2 long years since the last version was released, I felt that a new version was a bit overdue. This version adds a ton of new functionality and fixes a bunch of long-standing issues. Along with the new features and bug fixes, ClipboardFusion has received a face-lift and now shares common icons with my other applications (DisplayFusion, FileSeek… etc) for a consistent look-and-feel. Here are some of the new features that have been introduced in version 1.5:
- Added an option to ignore empty HTML tags (“<>“) when scrubbing HTML tags
- Added an option to play a sound when scrubbing (comes with a default sound, but can be set to any .wav file)
- Added an option to replace matching text strings with other strings (ex: can replace the special quotes from MS Office with normal ASCII quotes)
- Added an optional HotKey to scrub the clipboard
- Added an optional HotKey to toggle automatic scrubbing on/off
- Added the ability to not scrub text put on the clipboard by certain applications (specify the programs on the “Ignore Programs” tab)
If you would like to see the full list of changes, please visit the ClipboardFusion Change Log. Thanks everyone!

Very nice, thanks! I especially like the hotkey. This ignore programs feature will be nice if I find something is isn’t working with, but it seems to play well with Excel now (the previous version had problems with Excel).

@David: I made many improvements for application compatibility as well, I’m glad to hear they paid off.

It’s awesome Jon. Makes my desk look awesome with the dual monitors. One little thing tho is that i’ll get a little blue or orange square on my screen. Kinda strange but will hopefully be fixed in the future.

Hi Jon!
I <3 Clipboard Fusion. Quick feature request: it'd be cool if there was an option to scrub the text the 2nd time you copy it. That way, to copy text as normal you would just Ctrl-C once, but if you wanted to scrub it, you could just hit Ctrl-C again and BOOM, it's scrubbed. It would save some keyboard travel.
Keep up the awesome!

@Chris: Starting with 1.5 you can assign a HotKey to scrub text, instead of having it auto-scrubbed. You just can’t assign Ctrl + C.
