My wife and I recently purchased a new thermostat for our house, to control our A/C and furnace. It supports both Fahrenheit and Celsius. Well, sort of. When you turn on the A/C it defaults to 79 degrees Fahrenheit. So, I changed the thermostat to use Celsius. Now when we turn on the A/C it defaults to 79 degrees Celsius. Yeah, math is hard. Oh well, at least it only takes 110 button presses to get it down to 25 degrees. I’ll get a good finger workout, and it’s kind of an incentive to not use the A/C as much.

I actually thought it was funny. Little things like that where things don’t work as they should, they bother me. Such an obvious thing overlooked.
I guess it’s the QA in me.
anyways, you gained one reader!

And gained another - the developer who wrote that bit of code may like to know too. Must have hard coded the default number and/or bypassed the conversion routine.

I agree, I think it’s the developer in me that found this amusing as well.
