After many months of saving my pennies and waiting for a good sale to start it finally all came together. I got my Xbox 360, and I couldn’t be happier. I unpacked it on Friday night, right before heading out to watch a hockey game. In the short time we had to try it out my kids fell in love with one of the games that came with in, Boom Boom Rocket. Basically the game consists of watching fireworks shoot up the screen and hitting a button when they get to the top of the screen to make them explode. It’s very simple, but my kids love it. The graphics are great, and I’m sure it would be a great way to showcase a Hi-Def TV (if I had one). One thing that has really impressed me about the Xbox 360 is how integrated everything is. The dashboard is always accessible, I can connect to my Media Center PC to listen to my music and look at my pictures, and it was all a snap to setup. It really is a tight package - well thought out and well implemented. Kudos to you Microsoft, you got something right. My friend Keith was kind enough to loan me Project Gotham Racing 3, which is the 3rd installment in an arcade racing series that I fell in love with on my original Xbox. I’m working my way through it right now, and have so far accumulated a whopping 59 gamerpoints. The best thing about buying an Xbox 360 after over 1 year of it being on the market is that my friends have built up a great collection of games that I can now borrow from.
Now, enough chatter, back to PGR3!
