Would you let someone drive your car who doesn’t know how? What about someone that can’t even reach the peddles? Well, it seems that the “leader of the free world”, as he has been dubbed, doesn’t even understand basic economics. I would have thought that having a basic knowledge of economics would be a prerequisite for being IN CHARGE OF THE COUNTRY’S ECONOMY. Listen to what Mr. Bush said during a recent interview:
Question: Do you think there’s a risk of a recession? How do you rate that?
Bush’s Answer: You know, you need to talk to economists. I think I got a B in Econ 101. I got an A, however, in keeping taxes low and being fiscally responsible with the people’s money.
Fiscally responsible? Are you kidding me? This guy has single-handedly racked up the nation’s debt to dangerously high levels and has put the country onto the verge of a recession. But don’t worry everyone, as soon as Bush learns what the word ‘recession’ means maybe he’ll do something about it. Maybe, Mr. Bush, it is you that need to talk to the economists.
Nothing against Americans, but this is one of those times where, no matter how messed up Canadian politics get, I can be assured that at least our leader isn’t a complete moron. Go Canada!

Your reading comprehension fails.
You say:
BOOsh (the evil chimphitler monkey boogeyman of small minds everywhere) says:
Nowhere does he say (or implies) that he lacks “basic knowledge”.
And as far as YOUR knowledge of the American economy, perhaps you should consider reading more than Paul Krugman’s latest hysterical ramblings when forming your own opinions. While our economy isn’t the greatest (btw, I have absolutely no doubt that you have no clue as to what is the greatest threat to our economy; hint: it isn’t the “nation’s debt”), we seem to be weathering two battlefronts and a recent major correction in the housing market without going belly up. I wonder if Canada could do that… But then, Canada doesn’t do much of anything other than keep the cold air from coming too far south. Thanks for that, at least!

Wow, I can feel the Canadian hate. I have nothing against American people, just the 1 in charge. I’m sorry that you feel that Canada is only good for a “cold air” buffer.
Please enlighten me as to what you believe the greatest threat is. Please don’t say terrorism. And, on that note, instead of going to war and spending trillions of your dollars fighting for oil, don’t you think that money would have been better spent researching alternative fuel technologies? That way you guys could rid yourselves of the dependence on the middle east and start joining the rest of the world in actually reducing emissions.
This is the first political post I have ever made on my site, I usually try to steer clear of things like this. But lately how can anyone sit by and not call attention to what is going on? I don’t live in the US and probably don’t know the whole story, but unfortunately the Canadian economy is tied very closely to the American economy. If Bush drags the US into a recession, he’ll drag Canada down as well… and that sucks.

I don’t think it has anything to do with nationality or otherwise. Sometimes in politics you just get an idiot leader. Most of the time they’re just greedy and dishonest, this time though, he happens to be all three.
If there’s anyone I blame this on, it’s the DNC…why couldn’t they have given me someone better to vote for than Kerry? Had they put forward a decent candidate (not good, just decent), Bush would have been trounced in 2004.
