Motion Monitor is a spiffy little application I wrote a long time ago, use version 1.0 of the .NET framework so I could learn the C# language. I figured is was time to get it out, dust it off and port it to .NET 2.0. And heck, why not add some extra jazz too? To use Motion Monitor, just set up a web cam, or any other DirectShow compliant device.
As you can see in this screen shot, Motion Monitor is easy to setup and even easier to use. Just plug in your capture device, start Motion Monitor and adjust the 5 configuration options. Then watch as Motion Monitor detects motion in each frame, and displays the motion it detects. If the motion detected is over the threshold that you configured it will save a JPEG in the /Output/ folder under the installation folder.
