Binary Fortress Software

I recently tried out a copy of Microsoft’s Office Accounting Express 2007 software package, and liked what I saw. I was even happier when I received this email in my inbox this morning:

Dear customer,

Our records indicate that you have downloaded Microsoft Office Accounting 2007. Please take a short survey to tell us about your experience with downloading, installing and using Office Accounting and we’ll enter you in a drawing to win an Xbox 360.

The survey should take about 5 minutes to complete. Your feedback will be used to improve Office Accounting and will never be shared with any third parties or used for marketing purposes.

Cool, I thought to myself… I have valid feedback for the product, and I want an Xbox 360 - a win-win. So I followed the link. “Question 1: Do you live in the USA?”. “No”, I clicked. I clicked next and was greeted with a “thank you for participating in our survey” message. Ummmm… what?

Does my Canadian opinion not matter? I guess not… oh well. Thanks Microsoft.
